Jim and Sue Hickman are the dedicated on-site managers at New Crossing Place Motel, bringing over two decades of hands-on hospitality experience and a genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
From owning and operating their own motels on Phillip Island to managing successful regional properties across Victoria and Queensland, Jim and Sue have built a reputation for warm, professional service and an unwavering attention to detail.
Jim draws on an impressive background in sales, marketing, and operations management, while Sue complements this with extensive guest services and food handling expertise, ensuring every stay is as comfortable and seamless as possible.
As a team, Jim and Sue pride themselves on treating every guest “as if they were an old friend,” ensuring the property is immaculate and every stay feels personal and welcoming. Their philosophy is simple: deliver friendly, efficient service, maintain the highest standards, and create a stay that feels like home.

The Pearce family built the motel in the mid 1970’s and continued to operate the business until recently and our new team are committed to continuing their legacy of committing to re-investing in the business with constant improvements and expansion to keep up with customer expectations needs and wants.
